Apple event: Watch the iPhone 5S and 5C event live (updated live blog)

At 1pm Eastern Time (10am PT) today, Apple will unveil the iPhone 5S — and probably the iPhone 5C — at a special event at its headquarters in Cupertino, California. We will find out more about iOS 7, too, and potentially learn more about the upcoming Mac Pro, MacBook Pro, and iPad refreshes. When Apple shares the live video feed of the event, you will find it embedded below. Beneath the video you can find our live blog of the event, covering everything that happens at the Apple event — including, hopefully Tim Cook’s “one more thing…”
The stars of the Apple event will undoubtedly be the iPhone 5S and 5C. The 5S is expected to have updated, faster internals, a 13-megapixel camera, a fingerprint scanner, and a new champagne-colored model (pictured below). The 5C is expected to have similar internals as the current iPhone 5, but gone is the anodized monochrome aluminium chassis, replaced by a range of colorful plastic bodies. For more information on the iPhone 5S and 5C, see our rumor round-up story. The iPad and iPad Mini are due for a refresh, too, and it’ll be interesting to see if Apple squeezes them into the same event, or saves them for slightly later in the year.

This live blog will begin just before 1pm — stay tuned.
